This hammock is made of 65% specially processed polyester and 35% cotton. Adding polyester to the hammock considerably reduces the impact of making this product on the environment, as cotton cultivation uses a lot of pesticides.
Even so, this hammock is just as comfortable as a hammock made of 100% cotton. The polyester also limits stretching and makes the hammock more resistant to rain showers.
With or without frills?
Fringes originally served a purpose. They were used to wrap around your body while lazing in the hammock, protecting you against mosquitoes and pests. These days, frills are more a matter of taste.
With or without spreader bars?
Did you know that you can lie down straight in a hammock with spreader bars? The advantage of spreader bars is that they keep the hammock 'open', unlike hammocks without spreader bars which fold up That means spreader bars are ideal for the real sun worshippers!
The fabric wraps around you in a hammock without spreader bars, so it's best to lie slightly diagonally and keep the fabric open with your body. A classic hammock without spreader bars is therefore perfect for a quick nap.
Single or double?
