Description
The baby hammocks of Tropilex are excellent for hanging them up in the baby box.
Hang the baby hammock at a maximum of 10-15 cm from the ground or the floor. For extra safety, we recommend that you always put a mattress or a thick rug under the baby hammock.
All the benefits of a normal hammock can also be found in this baby hammock: ergonomic support and protection of the baby's back.
The baby lies more comfortably with more suspension cords
The baby hammock spreads more easily through the use of additional suspension cords. The Tropilex baby hammocks therefore have additional cords so that you lie as comfortably as possible.
Of course the weight is also better distributed over the different cords. Less weight per cord = less chance of snapping.
Besides, the cords come out of the baby hammock itself. This typical Colombian style of production is popularly called 'Cadejo'. The advantage is that the cords are not sewn on to the baby hammock. It also leaves less chance of snapping.
The final suspension loop is open with the Colombian hammocks of Tropilex. The 'Open-Loop' makes it easier to hang up the baby hammock.

The cloth for lying on is denser and firmer
The cloth for the Tropilex hammocks is woven up to 20% more densely with 70% cotton and 30% polyester.
The polycotton material has a number of unique properties. The cotton gives the baby hammock the pleasant soft feeling. The polyester provides extra strength and ensures that the baby hammock does not stretch too much.
The fabric is also woven up to 20% more heavily than that for other baby hammocks of other brands. This of course provides even more comfort and extra sturdiness.
Handmade with care in Colombia!
The Colombian baby hammocks are 100% from Colombia.
Each thread is first carefully sorted on the weaving machine. This is an extremely accurate job. The extraordinary patterns of the Tropilex baby hammocks are then set up on the machine. And from then on the machine starts to weave large, long cloths.
This long cloth is then cut to size. They then unravel the ends a bit. Now they can knot the 'cadejo' by hand. The suspension cords are then tied to this 'cadejo' again.
The cadejo gives the baby hammock the wonderful 'Handmade in Colombia' appearance. But, first of all, it makes the baby hammock especially strong and it gives more comfort!
